Gain a deeper understanding of traditional Chinese music and opera forms through Nanyin music. Nanyin is one of the most ancient musical art forms in China and is sung in the Minnan dialect. Serene and elegant, Nanyin songs and music have soothed and uplifted kings and common folk through the centuries.

This interesting session includes a hands-on demonstration of the Nanyin percussion sibao, a talk on the history of Nanyin music and a performance. Participants will also be treated to a special Chinese tea appreciation and traditional tea snacks.
